Being creative with fabric is the hallmark of what we do at Rich Starley Interior Design Studio. Rich is always looking for ways to take one of our many designer fabrics and use it creatively when designing furniture or even upholstered wall coverings. Fabric combined with the explicit detailing, can add the finishing touch to a piece of furniture and ultimately enhance the overall look and feel of a room.
By the use of a contrast fabric for the welt on this chair and ottoman set, it creates a contemporary look for a classic chair design. Rich had the walls upholstered to make this room feel tactful and interesting, which served double duty by helping with sound restriction when a hard surface was present on the floor.
The upholstered headboard contains contemporary lines with added welt detail. Using neutral colors and soft texture for the bedding, it makes the bed inviting, and simple design makes the bed easy to make so it constantly looks good. All these rooms need is art or miscellaneous accessories, which Rich works with each client to give it that personal signature touch.
Let Rich show you how to take your idea combined with his vision, in livening up a room with a new and exciting look with today’s fabrics.
